In the Belmond-Klemme band program, students have the opportunity to perform in concert band, pep band, and jazz band.

All band students participate in the Concert Band. Belmond-Klemme has 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, Junior High Band (grades 7-8), and High School Band (grades 9-12). Concert Band is where students learn the fundamental skills of playing as a group. These ensembles perform music from a wide range of styles and eras. Concert Band gives several performances each year, the last typically being the IHSMA Large Group Festival where the High School Band performs for judges and receives feedback on their performance. BK Concert Band received a Division 1 rating at IHSMA Large Group Festival in 2023 and 2025.

Jazz Band is an extracurricular band activity where students have the opportunity to play in a smaller ensemble and interact with different styles of music. The Jazz Band competes in 4-5 festivals every year where they perform for judges and receive feedback from clinicians.
